Mueang Ubon Ratchathani (Tay dili: เมือง อุบลราชธานี, telaffuz edildi [mɯ̄a̯ŋ ʔù.bōn râːt.t͡ɕʰā.tʰāː.nīː]) başkenttir (amphoe mueang ) nın-nin Ubon Ratchathani Eyaleti, kuzeydoğu Tayland.

Tarih

Bölge orijinal olarak Buphupalanikhom (บุ พุ ป ล นิคม) olarak adlandırıldı. Daha sonra isim 1909'da Burapha Ubon (บูรพา อุบล) ve 1913'te Mueang Ubon Ratchathani olarak değiştirildi.[1]

Coğrafya

Komşu ilçeler (batıdan saat yönünde) Khueang Nai, Muang Sam Sip, Lao Suea Kok, Don Mot Daeng, Sawang Wirawong, ve Warin Chamrap Ubon Ratchathani Eyaleti ve Kanthararom nın-nin Sisaket Bölgesi.

Önemli su kaynağı, Mun Nehri.
